On November 8, Garren Colvin, CEO of St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood and 2019-2020 Chair of the KHA Board, was appointed by Governor Matt Bevin as a member of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky Board of Directors. He will represent members at-large and serve for a term expiring May 15, 2022.
The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky Board of Directors advances and upholds the Foundation’s charitable mission of addressing unmet health care needs of Kentuckians and is responsible for the financial, program and policy affairs of the Foundation.
On July 1, the 2018-2019 KHA Board of Trustees officially takes office. Jane Wheatley, chief executive officer of Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, will serve as Chair of the Board for the new fiscal year. Garren Colvin, chief executive officer of St. Elizabeth Healthcare, will serve as Chair-Elect.

Today, the 2016-2017 KHA Board of Trustees officially takes office. Susan Starling, president/chief executive officer of Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital in Irvine, will serve as Chair of the Board for the new fiscal year. Jerry Penner, chief executive officer of Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, will serve as Chair-Elect.

Vicki A. Darnell, president and chief executive officer of Ephraim McDowell Health, was elected to serve on the American Hospital Association (AHA) Regional Policy Board 3 and has begun her three-year term.
Regional Policy Board 3 represents six states including District of Columbia, Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. The Board meets three times a year to foster communication between the AHA, its members and state hospital associations. They provide input on public policy issues considered by the Board of Trustees, serve as ad hoc policy development committees when appropriate, and identify needs unique to a region and assist in developing programs to meet those needs.
