Up to 7.5 hours of ACHE face-to-face credits are available at KHA's 90th Annual Convention, May 8-10 in Lexington. Additionally, the Kentucky Chapter of the ACHE will host its Award Luncheon on May 9.

As you’re making your plans to attend the KHA 90th Annual Convention (May 8-10), we wanted to provide an update on hotel room availability. The KHA room block at the host hotel (The Hyatt Regency Lexington) is almost sold out. The rest of the hotel is completely booked for the night of May 9 due to a concert in Rupp Arena. Rooms at the Hyatt are still available May 7-8.

 The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) presented several awards during the Association’s Awards Luncheon on May 11 at the 89th Annual KHA Convention in Lexington.
The highlight of the luncheon was the installment of the 2018-2019 Chair of the KHA Board of Trustees Jane Wheatley, chief executive officer of Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. Wheatley will begin her tenure as Chair on July 1.
KHA’s Award of Excellence was presented to Sally Davenport, president and chief executive offer of Ephraim McDowell Health in Danville. This is a prestigious KHA award bestowed upon individuals who have made significant contributions to health care in Kentucky.

KHA is excited to bring two new tracks to this year's Convention, May 10-11 in Lexington. In addition to the Nurse Leaders, Health Care Attorneys and Physician Tracks, this year's event will feature Tracks for Hospital Trustees and Foundation Directors.
Trustees can participate in a two-part session on Governing in Today's Health Care World.
Foundation Directors will learn Lessons for Charities from the 2017 Tax Reform, explore how to Create, Enhance and Elevate a Culture of Philanthropy in Health Care.

The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) presented awards to four hospital
volunteer groups during the Association’s Auxiliary/Volunteer Luncheon on
May 18, at the 88th Annual KHA Convention in Lexington. The
HANDS Awards (Helping Accomplish Noteworthy Duties Successfully) recognize
outstanding volunteer/auxiliary programs in hospitals across the state.

The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) held its yearly Awards Luncheon on
May 19, as part of the 88th Annual KHA Convention in Lexington.
During the event, six hospitals from across the state were recognized with
KHA Quality Awards. This award is presented to honor hospital leadership
and innovation in quality, safety and commitment in patient care.

There will be three ACHE sessions at this year's KHA Annual Convention in Lexington on May 18-19. Thursday will feature two sessions with Jake Poore, president and chief experience officer of Integrated Loyalty Systems in Orlando. Each of these sessions are eligible for 3.0 ACHE Face-to-Face education credits.
On Friday, May 19, there will be a panel presentation and discussion about accountability and transformation with hospital leaders from around the state. This session is eligible for 1.5 ACHE Face-to-Face education credits.
